Management Team
Norman Epstein
Norman Epstein (CEO and Founder), is one of Wall Street’s senior leaders. Mr. Epstein was a founder and Chairman of ILX Systems, a Thomson (NYSE: TOC) company that became the largest vendor of North American equity data, with 180,000
workstation users, and Chairman and CEO of BETA Systems, a company that Mr. Epstein was instrumental in acquiring for
Thomson / ILX, and which grew from processing 40,000 to 650,000 trades per day under his leadership. Prior to ILX and
Beta, Mr. Epstein was a Director of EF Hutton and sat on its eight-person executive management committee. He has served
as a Director of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and on the executive committees of the Security Industry Automation
Corp and the Security Industry Association and served as Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange Competitive Review
Committee and for ten years as a member of the NYSE Market Performance Committee. Mr. Epstein holds a B.A. from the City
College of New York.
Rob Barsky
Rob Barsky (COO and Founder), has more than 20 years of senior management experience with major firms in the securities
industry, including as CEO of Digitrade, a Thomson company that provided on-line trading systems to the professional
community, as an Executive Vice President at ILX Systems and Vice President of Trading Systems for Salomon Smith Barney
and E.F. Hutton. Rob has a B.A. in Economics from Duke University.
John Low
John Low (EVP, Sales and Marketing) served as General Manager of Polk City Directories and previously, as EVP and National
Sales Manager for ILX Systems and as National Account Manager for Reuters Trading Systems. John has over 20 years
experience selling information systems to the Wall Street community. John holds an M.S. in Educational Administration
from Northern Illinois University and a B.A. in Political Science from Drake University.
Clifford Ribaudo
Clifford Ribaudo (CTO), was VP of New Business Development and Executive Committee member at ILX Systems. Prior to ILX,
he was CEO and co-founder of Inmark Development Corp., which merged and went public under the name of Rogue Wave
Software (Nasdaq: RWAV). He also serves as VP and CFO of two non-profit corporations and has been an investor in and
advisor to several Internet technology startups. Cliff received a B.S. in Economics from Colgate University.
Richard Schweiger
Richard Schweiger (Managing Director, Beacon Capital Markets, LLC) was a management consultant with Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Tefen USA, where he engaged in operations and strategy projects for cross-sector clients, including Viacom, Bertelsmann, Cargill, the U.S. Treasury Department, Pfizer, Genentech and Schering-Plough. Richard’s prior experience includes positions with Pepsi-Cola International, KPMG Peat Marwick, and Etrana, Inc, an e-commerce software company. Richard has an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as well as a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Chicago.
David Audley
David Audley (EVP, Strategic Planning and Founder), has been Chief Technology Officer for the Tiger and Clinton Group hedge
funds as well as for Merrill Lynch’s Global Securities Research division. He served as Chief Investment Officer at the Watch Hill
mortgage hedge fund and Managing Director of the Financial Strategies Group of Prudential Securities. David has
a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University where he is currently Lecturer in Financial
Mathematics.
Erik Carlson
Erik Carlson (Quantitative Analyst and Founder), was Principal of Automated Market Making for Morgan Stanley, Manager
of Quantitative Research for Tiger Management, Director of Financial Strategies Group for Prudential Securities, and a
Developer for the Lehman Brothers MBS Index. Erik has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from
Carnegie Mellon and holds the CFA designation.
